About

Take one part minimalism, one part Ivesian layering, and a hint of a reverse theme and variations, and you get an idea of what Diffusions is like. The work begins with a series of short, seemingly disconnected sections, but as the work goes on the material coalesces and it becomes clear that the entire work is actually based on the same thematic material, which is not fully stated until the work's climax.
